Clermiston is 60 was an educational project delivered in partnership with Drumbrae Library Hub and Clermiston Primary School and funded by the Airport Community Fund.
The aim was to give pupils an introduction to filmmaking through the production of a short film exploring the local history of Clermiston. The pupils then worked in groups of three or four each taking on roles of camera, sound and interviewer to record the residents’ memories of the early days of Clermiston and how the area has grown over the years.
The finished film was screened in Drumbrae Library Hub and the local Church Hall. It was also made available on DVD.
